Less busywork.
More editing.
EditPilot handles the repetitive cuts, cleanup and processing that slow an edit down—then puts the result back where it belongs: in Resolve.
Coming soon · 14-day free trial when it launches, cancel before it ends and pay nothing · Windows · DaVinci Resolve 20+ · AI that runs on your own computer, with nothing metered
Tools you reach for on real edits.
No chatbot pretending to be an editor. Pick a task, choose your clips, review the result and keep working.
Cut the dead air
Remove silence and filler words without chewing into the ends of spoken words.
Cut between your cameras
Stack your angles in Resolve and mute what you do not want. EditPilot reads the arrangement and cuts between them, and you see the cut before anything renders.
Caption the conversation
Generate captions from your audio and keep uncertain dialogue out instead of making it up.
Make the vertical cut
Reframe for Shorts, Reels and TikTok without rebuilding the edit from scratch.
Finish faster
Transitions, Auto Balance and practical timeline tools for the work between the flashy parts.
Push the image further
Pro tools include 2×/4× upscaling, subject isolation and depth-based background blur.
Run the batch
Process multiple clips in one pass when doing the same job twenty times makes no sense.
Match every shot
AI Color measures exposure, white balance and skin, then corrects the footage and holds a scene together.
Put words on screen
Titles that move and charts that build, rendered with a transparent background to sit over your clip.

- Connect an AI Assistant
Or let Claude or ChatGPT drive it.
EditPilot is not a chatbot, but it will take instructions from one. It includes a local MCP server, so you can connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code or ChatGPT Desktop and ask for the edit in your own words instead of clicking through it.
EditPilot sets it up for you. It writes into the assistant's own configuration file, takes a backup first, and leaves every other connection you have exactly as it was. The server runs on your computer as a child process of the assistant and opens no network port, so nothing is exposed to your network or the internet and nothing is running when the assistant is not.
It reaches the same operations the window does, so your plan and its limits apply unchanged. Your footage is never uploaded. What you ask the assistant, and what EditPilot answers it with, is handled by that assistant under its own privacy policy, the same as any other conversation you have with it.
Where EditPilot goes next.
Written down so you know what you are buying and what you are waiting for. V1 is the version you can buy; the rest is the plan.
The shot you didn't film.
ShotPilot is a ComfyUI studio for post production. Not a wrapper with four presets — the studio, with the lid off, wired into an edit. Everything generates on your own GPU.
We call what it makes an interpositive: the film term for a copy struck so the original never has to be touched. It is in development, and it is the reason EditPilot was built the way it was. Join the waitlist and you will hear about it first.
Why it works this way
Most tools like this send your footage somewhere else, charge by the generation, and process it on hardware you do not own. That is a reasonable way to build software.
EditPilot and ShotPilot run on your machine, on your footage, with your models. Nothing is metered. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is learned from your work.
We are editors too — same tools, same deadlines, same files that have to go out tonight. We built the thing we wanted to use.
Call it breaking the wheel if you like. We think it is just how this ought to work.
Your GPU. Your footage. Your models. Your work to sell.
Your footage doesn't need a field trip.
Supported AI processing runs on your computer. EditPilot connects online for account services, licensing, updates and model downloads—not to meter every minute of your footage.
Pick the plan that fits the edit.

A separate app, not a plugin.
EditPilot is a Windows desktop application that runs alongside DaVinci Resolve. You pick the job in EditPilot, review the result, and Resolve builds it on a new timeline. Nothing is installed into Resolve and nothing you already made is changed.
The things people ask first.
Do I need DaVinci Resolve Studio?
No. EditPilot works with the free version of DaVinci Resolve 20.0 or newer, and has been tested on 21.1.
Does my footage get uploaded?
No. Your footage and all AI processing stay on your computer.
What does the AI cost to use?
Nothing beyond your plan. EditPilot has plenty of AI — transcription, captions, color, upscaling, depth and subject isolation — and it all runs on your own computer, so there is nothing to meter: no credits, and no charge per minute. An AI service you connect yourself bills you at its own rates.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Move between monthly and yearly, or between Basic and Pro, from your Gumroad account.
How does the free trial work?
Pro is free for 14 days. You choose Pro monthly or Pro yearly, enter your payment details at the shop, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time in those 14 days and you pay nothing. Canceling does not cut the trial short: you keep Pro until day 14, and only then does EditPilot change. There is one trial per customer.
What if I forget to cancel?
You can still get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. That is a separate 14 days from the trial: the trial runs from the day it starts, with nothing charged, and the refund window starts at the first payment, which is the day the trial ends. Refunds are made by Gumroad, who took the payment.
What happens when my trial or subscription ends?
You are not locked out. EditPilot keeps working with the everyday tools — silence, filler-word and custom-word removal, transcripts and chapters, plain captions, basic resizing, the built-in presets and your asset library. The rest comes back when you subscribe, and nothing you have made is affected.
